Chester Schultz, Aboriginal place names researcher, and Gavin Malone, Cultural Geographer, discuss known named Aboriginal places, including the provenance of names, how and when they were recorded in settlement history, cultural protocols in using place names and roles of place names in Aboriginal cultural mapping and renewal. They will discuss Chester's forthcoming book Feet of the Fleurieu the story of the first guides, interpreters and explorers on the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, 1825 – 1837.
